WHITE PLAINS, N.Y., and ORLANDO, Fla., Nov. 12, 2009 -- The anchor tenant of Seavest Inc.'s new Surgical Medical Plaza medical office building (MOB) will hold its grand opening next week. Florida Hospital Surgery Center will unveil its 15,500 square foot space 5 p.m. next Tuesday, Nov. 17, at 258 S. Chickasaw Trail on the Florida Hospital East Orlando campus.
"The Florida Hospital Surgery Center is a wonderful, convenient option for outpatient surgery. This state-of-the-art center will provide a new level of service to patients in the Central Florida area," says Michelle Fuentes, Assistant Vice President, Florida Hospital East Orlando. "The surgery center occupies nearly the entire first floor, providing ample capacity. The remainder of the building will be used by a range of physician groups and other related healthcare services that can be provided to the patients in our community."
White Plains, N.Y.-based Seavest, which owns Surgical Medical Plaza, worked with Lillibridge to develop the three-story, 60,000 square foot MOB. The facility also features separate, covered patient -off and pick-up areas, and 300 convenient surface parking spaces.
The new facility marks the fifth development project for which Seavest has partnered with Florida Hospital, a division of Adventist Health.
"The new Surgical Medical Plaza is the most recent example of the close strategic relationship we have forged with the Florida Hospital team," says Seavest President Douglas Ray. "Our previous successful collaborations with them have provided us with a solid understanding of their objectives, better enabling us to use our real estate experience and capabilities to achieve the system's strategic goals."
